Initial State:
The old butyl rubber roof, applied 25-30 years ago, was peeling back and leaking severely, with concrete leaching from below.

Solution:
The old rubber roof was stripped off, cleaned by power washing, and hand-removed glues.
Detailing Process: Hand detailing every penetration, masking everything off at the base, and applying a base coat of liquid rubber.

Coating:
A three-coat system was applied in slow layers to build up a thick coating, including detailing all hubs and saturating the concrete to prevent water ingress.
Infrastructure Challenges: Working around low infrastructure, which was problematic for other types of coatings, but the ability to flood coat underneath low equipment provided a watertight seal.

Stair Access Towers:
Three towers required individual attention after scaffolding was erected, with the state of the roof repairs being dismal.

Final Touches:
Applying several coats of liquid rubber and fine-tuning the drainage section to make it fully watertight.

Outcome:
The job was completed successfully, resulting in a fully watertight roof, with both clients and the team expressing satisfaction.
