Flat Rooftop - Remedial Waterproofing

Pauls Evans and his team were tasked with applying waterproofing to both the upper roof and a large pooling area, detailing the process, the challenges, and the benefits of their method.

Project Location & Problem:
Melbourne, Vic 3000
Old torch down membrane that was leaking.
Upper roof had a large pooling area.
Lack of proper waterproofing.

Solution & Approach:
Evans and his team were asked to apply waterproofing to both areas.
Carried all equipment up the stairs by hand.
Cleaned the roof with power washers.
Cut out defective sections of the membrane and topped them off with a flexible screed.

Detailed Process:
Drying and detailing various components of a guard railing, including pins, pipes, brackets, scuppers, and drain points.
Applying membranes, base coats, and a top coat.
Providing strength, durability, and thermal properties.

Results & Benefits:
Thermal coat reduced inside temperatures by about 10 degrees.
Savings on heating and cooling costs.
